Practice Business Manager
Richard joined the practice in April 2021 and has performed a variety of administration functions within the surgery.
Richard is passionate about Primary Care and enjoys meeting our patients and carers. He is particularly keen to see how technology can assist with communication and improve services. Always with the consideration that not everyone can adapt , and we still need to support those patients who need the more traditional service.
He has worked closely with our Patient Participation Group and will continue to do so, as they are a vital support to the Practice. Richard believes that health promotion and working alongside our patients and staff is paramount to deliver the high standards of care we strive and aspire to.
Richard also communicates with the Primary Care Network and the Integrated Care Board, to ensure the practice is well represented and kept informed of all the latest developments that could affect our services to patients and staff.
Administration support team
Patient Advisors
Patient advisors provide an important link for patients and are usually your initial point of contact, either via reception or the phone. They will help guide you to the right clinician or service. They also perform other important tasks, such as issuing repeat prescriptions, handling prescription queries, passing on information about test results, patient records and scanning and document maintenance. Our team is Lead by Charlie guides, trains and supports the team.
Medical Secretaries
Manage the referrals made by the Doctors and also handling any communications back from the hospitals in terms of further information. Our team is lead by Sharon, who maintains close links with the various hospitals and services.
Medical Summarisers and Senior Administrator
Summarisers and coders perform a key role in updating patients records with a medical history and coding that provides information for the doctors and nurses to access. Our Senior Administrator Carol, coordinates all our IT requirements at the Practice and manages requests for patient private work requests.
