What is a medication review?

If you have a medication/s on repeat prescriptions you will need a review either with your GP or specialist nurse, sometimes both depending on your particular condition / medication. This needs to take place once year as we need to ensure everything is working as it should. Sometimes you may also need to supply a blood pressure reading or come in for a blood test. This all depends on the type of medication you are on.

You can also ask any questions about your medication at this opportunity.

Please note that there is a date on your prescription slip when your review is due, or you can also check with your pharmacy. It is important for you to book in for a review in plenty of time, as we don’t want you to run your of your medication! So it’s worth putting a reminder into your diary and or calendar.
